I am by no means a pro. My interest in photography is at a hobby level, that being said my passion has often led to me taking on work as a photographer, pushing my amateur status to new and often daunting heights over the years.  I have shot weddings, christenings, food, social events, portraits amongst others and most of these have provided incredible learning experiences along the way. Mostly it has forced me to learn to shoot in all sorts of awkward situations. One of the earliest lessons that I have always clung to is ‘know your camera’. With this mantra and the world wide web providing me with enough new projects to last a lifetime, I hope to share some of my journey with others.

My other passion is Triathlon. I race sprint, olympic and middle distance triathlons in Ireland and this year for the first time at Ironman 70.3 in Scotland. I started triathlon from a gym background three years ago and have been hooked ever since. Triathlon is a huge sport now both in Ireland and across the globe. This site will enable me to share some of the experiences that I have during training and competition.
